“Rail Disruption in Brussels: Updates on Repairs and Travel Alternatives”

2023-04-26 06:40:00

Infrabel technicians are on site to carry out the repairs, reports the rail network manager.

Two trains, with around thirty passengers on board, are currently at a standstill between Brussels-North and Schaerbeek. Another convoy is stopped at Cortenbergh station. This train will be towed by a diesel locomotive.

In addition, two series of trains providing the link between Brussels-Antwerp and Nivelles-Landen have been cancelled. And ICE high-speed trains do not run between Brussels and Liège, for the moment.

“Rail traffic in Brussels and its surroundings is on average 10 to 15 minutes late,” said an Infrabel spokesperson.
