Raids in the West Bank and the occupation is mobilized to search for the perpetrators of the Jordan Valley operation

Palestine – Israeli occupation forces stormed cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, at dawn on Monday, while the occupation continues combing operations in search of the perpetrators of the Jordan Valley operation that took place yesterday and resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier and the injury of another.

The Israeli raids were concentrated in the cities of Ramallah, Jenin and Qalqilya, amid clashes with the resistance in some areas of these cities.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army stormed the city of Jenin and its camp in the northern West Bank, and raided a number of homes in the eastern neighborhood of the city amid the outbreak of armed clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin from the Jalameh checkpoint, north of the city.

The correspondent added that the occupation soldiers surrounded a house, which led to the outbreak of armed clashes with resistance fighters, amid the sound of sirens in the city.

For its part, Al-Aqsa TV quoted local sources as saying that the clashes took place on Nablus Street and Al-Marah neighborhood in Jenin, noting that two young men were injured by Israeli soldiers’ bullets.

The sources indicated that the occupation forces also stormed areas in the Jenin camp, in addition to the town of Qabatiya.

Palestinian sources reported that resistance fighters targeted the forces invading Jenin with an explosive device.

Also in the northern West Bank, resistance fighters opened fire on the occupation forces at the Jarizim checkpoint, south of Nablus, according to Palestinian sources.

In the eastern West Bank, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed Aqabat Jaber camp in Jericho at dawn today.

Local sources said that resistance fighters targeted the Al-Hamra military checkpoint north of Jericho with machine guns, and achieved direct hits among the Israeli forces.

In the central West Bank, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah.

Israeli occupation forces also stormed the city of Ramallah at dawn today, and raided the Al-Tira neighborhood, amidst clashes with dozens of Palestinians who confronted them, according to eyewitnesses.

Witnesses said that the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian citizen after unleashing their police dogs to attack him.

This comes at a time when local Palestinian sources in Qalqilya reported that an occupation army force stormed the city and arrested a Palestinian citizen.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced yesterday evening, Sunday, the death of the young man, Sobhi Al-Baz (36 years old), as a result of his injury a few days ago by the occupation forces’ bullets in Jenin.

The official Palestinian news agency said that Al-Baz died in Jenin Governmental Hospital from his wounds caused by the occupation forces’ bullets last week.

The agency indicated that 6 young men were injured in an Israeli raid that targeted a car in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin city last Tuesday.

For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners Club and the Prisoners Affairs Authority announced – in a joint statement yesterday evening, Sunday – the martyrdom of the wounded prisoner, Kifah Dabaya, from Jenin camp, in the Israeli Rambam Hospital.

The two institutions said that Dabaya (34 years old) died of his wounds from the bullets of the Israeli occupation army before his arrest last Tuesday in the town of Kafr Qud, along with two other young men who were injured and arrested with him, namely Jihad Hussein and Ahmed Farahti, during the recent Israeli aggression on Jenin and its camp.

The Prisoners Club and the Prisoners Affairs Authority held the occupation authorities fully responsible for the martyrdom of the prisoner Dabaya.

This comes as the Israeli occupation forces continue combing operations in search of the perpetrators of the shooting operation that took place in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank yesterday, Sunday, which resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier and the injury of another.

The Israeli occupation army closed the villages of Bardala, Kardala and Ain Beida in the Tubas Governorate, north of the occupied Jordan Valley.

The occupation army announced yesterday that its forces began pursuing the perpetrators of the shooting and are conducting extensive search and combing operations in the area, noting that gunmen opened fire on several vehicles near Mahola in the Jordan Valley region.

Yesterday, Sunday, Palestinian resistance fighters riding in a car opened fire on two cars on Route 90 near the settlement of Mehola in the Jordan Valley, killing one soldier and wounding another.

Israeli media reported that the dead soldier was a fighter in Gaza during the past months, and his name is Yonatan Deutsch, a resident of the Beit Shean settlement.

The Palestinian factions claimed responsibility for the shooting operation, and said in a statement that their fighters in the West Bank had killed a soldier at point-blank range near the “Mehola” settlement and returned safely to their bases.

The Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, inspected the site of the attack in the northern Jordan Valley last night, and said that the military system failed to prevent the attack, and confirmed that the army is pursuing the attackers and will reach them.

“The countdown has begun to arrest the perpetrators,” Halevi said.

With the killing of the soldier, the number of Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers killed in the West Bank since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7 has risen to 20.

Since Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa, the occupation forces have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 620 Palestinians and the injury of more than 5,000 others, according to official Palestinian statistics.
