New York: Rahul Gandhi said that the election victory won by the Congress in Karnataka will be repeated in Telangana also. Congress has proved through Karnataka that it can weaken the BJP. Rahul also said that the Congress did not defeat the BJP in Karnataka but made it a minority. Rahul was speaking at a program organized by Indian Overseas Congress-USA in New York.
“The BJP did everything they could and they had the media with them. They have ten times the wealth of what we have. They have government, agency, everything. Yet we were made a minority. Next is Telangana. Even there BJP will have the same situation as in Karnataka. After the election, BJP will not be seen in Telangana even if you look closely’, said Rahul. Rahul added that the BJP will face defeat not only in Telangana but also in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where the elections are going to be held.
“It is not the Congress but the people of India, the people of Madhya Pradesh, the people of Telangana and Rajasthan who are going to defeat the BJP. BJP cannot go any further with the hatred it is spreading among the people,” Rahul said.
Rahul said that the opposition parties are united and all of them will come together and wage an idealistic fight against the BJP. Rahul also referred to the slogan during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, ‘Open the market of love in the market of hatred’.
