Kanyakumari: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi did not just walk 3571 km. People standing on the roadside will be called to ask for their welfare. Ask their needs. Their views on the country will be asked.
Rahul is setting a different example from previous political leaders who have done Bharat Yatra. Rahul’s meeting is not with civic leaders. Interacting with common people. That is what was evident on the second day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The journey started yesterday from Nagercoil. The first stage was up to Puliyoorukuri Divasayam Pillai Temple. Rahul Gandhi hoisted the national flag at Scott Christian College at 7 am. He interacted with farmers who protested at Jantarmandar in New Delhi with skulls following farmer suicides. Yesterday we traveled regarding 13 km and reached the 101 year old school at Suchindra. During the short break he got, he met and listened to the students. He also met the family members of Anita, who committed suicide in 2017 following failing to clear the NEET exam. Their family members had earlier demanded that the NEET exam be cancelled. Yesterday’s journey ended at Mulakumood. The journey will reach Kerala border tomorrow morning.
Rahul’s journey started from Kanyakumari. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. After receiving the flag from Stalin, the 150-day long journey began. From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, 300 people will be with Rahul all the time. AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and others are with Rahul Gandhi. 117 people, including senior leaders, are permanent members of the 150-day Padayatra. Those in the states where the yatra does not pass will be part of the yatra in the nearby state. Rallies will be organized in 22 cities as part of the march. Second NDA in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is aimed at bringing down the government.
