Former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has stated that he is the representative of the people of Wayanad, even if the BJP disqualifies him, imprisons him, or robs his house. He emotionally spoke regarding how he comes from the people of Wayanad and their resilience following losing hundreds of houses in the flood. Rahul was addressing the people of the constituency for the first time following being disqualified from the post of MP. He emphasized the importance of understanding people’s problems and prioritizing their needs over personal interests. He also spoke regarding the urgent need for a medical college, night travel permission, and removal of buffer zone threat in Wayanad.
Rahul also spoke regarding his ideological battle once morest the BJP and how he respects all castes and religions in the country. He pledged to continue working for Wayanad’s issues, even if he is jailed or disqualified. He also questioned the Prime Minister’s relationship with Adani, leading to his dismissal from Parliament.
Priyanka Gandhi, sister and general secretary of AICC, praised Rahul and said that the people of Wayanad understand him better than anyone else. Rahul and Priyanka’s roadshow in Kalpatta was attended by hundreds of people.
Kalpatta: Former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi said that even if the BJP disqualifies me, imprisons me or robs my house, I am the representative of the people of Wayanad. “Take my house 50 times if you want, I don’t mind. I come from the people of Wayanad who lost hundreds of houses in the flood. I have seen how they survived it,” Rahul said emotionally. Rahul, who came to Wayanad for the first time following being disqualified from the post of MP, was addressing the people of the constituency.
‘When I came here four years ago, the election campaign was different from the usual. It was a feeling that came down to my family. I was accepted as your brother and son. Parliamentarians should understand people’s problems. People’s needs should be prioritized by sacrificing their own interests. Abandon harshness and behave with extreme simplicity. MP is just a tag. BJP may take away my tag and my house, may put me in jail. But they cannot stop them from representing the people of Wayanad. Medical college, night travel permission, removal of buffer zone threat is an urgent need of Wayanad. I will always stand for it.
The most important need is to create conditions for all the people in the country to live in peace. No one wants only four or five people to own this great kingdom. I have been in an ideological battle once morest the BJP for many years. They have not understood their adversary, and their adversary is by no means fearful. They think that if the police are sent to my house, I will panic and if my house is seized, I will be upset. I don’t want to live in such a house. In Wayanad, I saw hundreds of people lose their homes in the floods. See how you survived it. So I don’t mind if I lose my house fifty times.
I am uniting the people while the BJP divides, confuses and threatens them. I respect all castes and religions in this country. Do whatever evil you (BJP) can, but I will be merciful and tender to all – even you. You and I represent two views of India.
I will work for you on the issues of Medical College, Night Yatra and Buffer Zone for Wayanad whether I am MP or not. Even if I am jailed or disqualified, my connection with Wayanad will not be severed. I am indebted to Wayanad for life. What can they do but jail and disqualify?
I asked the Prime Minister in Parliament to clarify his relationship with Adani. I asked in Parliament how Adani, which was at the 609th position among the world’s richest people, reached the 2nd position. The agreements made with Israel for Adani were questioned. They kicked me out of Parliament because of that – said Rahul.
Priyanka Gandhi, sister and general secretary of AICC, said that the people of Wayanad understood Rahul Gandhi better than anyone else. Rahul is brave. The administration is trying to silence him. Ministers and MPs, including the Prime Minister, are trying to attack one person – said Priyanka.
Rahul and Priyanka reached Kalpatta by helicopter from Kannur airport. Hundreds of people participated in the road show, which started from Kalpatta SKMJ High School premises.
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Wayanad following his disqualification from the post of MP sends a strong message – he will always be a representative of the people of Wayanad, no matter what the BJP does. He understands that his duty goes beyond just holding a tag of MP and prioritizes the needs of the people above all else. Despite the attempts to silence his voice, Rahul remains resolute in his fight for the betterment of Wayanad and India as a whole. His sister, Priyanka Gandhi, is also a staunch supporter, believing that the people of Wayanad have a deep understanding of Rahul’s true character. Together, they continue to work towards creating a brighter future for everyone.
