Ahmedabad – Afghanistan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz distributed money to people sleeping on the streets to celebrate Diwali. Gurbaaz’s ‘gift’ to those sleeping on the roadside in Ahmedabad city. Video footage of the star leaving money near sleeping people and getting into the car has surfaced. The video also shows that Gurbaz did this at three in the morning.
Gurbaz arrived in the city following the World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. South Africa beat Afghanistan by five wickets in the last match. Batting first, Afghanistan scored 244 runs for the loss of five wickets and South Africa won with 15 balls to spare. Afghanistan, who won four out of nine matches, might not secure the semi-final.
However, Afghanistan will leave India following qualifying for the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025. Afghanistan have achieved impressive victories in the 2023 World Cup, including defeating defending champions England by 69 runs. The Afghanistan team also enjoyed huge fan support in Indian stadiums.
