Ustad Shani said that there are regular classes at his shop every day from 7 am to 9 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm and he does not charge any fees from the children who come.

“However, if someone calls home for this work, I take money for the expenses. In government schools, there is a good response, the children there have enthusiasm and passion. People are still fond of calligraphy. I have many students, but it feels great when my students enroll their children with me.’

Ahsan Afridi, a prominent social leader of Rahim Yar Khan and an important member of the Chamber of Commerce, while talking to Independent Urdu, said that the spirit of Ustad Shani is commendable.

He is very popular in Rahim Yar Khan due to his simple nature but passion for teaching good calligraphy. I have also received training from Ustad Beshar Sahib, now I often bring my children to him so that they too can learn this skill.’

Hafiz Shahzad, principal of the exemplary school in the area, said: ‘We arrange special lectures in the school from Ustad Bashir. While we also teach our teachers good manners from them so that they can further improve their performance.’
