The English Football Association announced, Thursday, that its player, Raheem Sterling, will return to the national team camp, before facing France, in the quarter-finals next Saturday.
Sterling missed England’s 3-0 victory over Senegal, in the round of sixteen, following he left Qatar to return to his family, following a robbery occurred.
The FA said in a statement, “The Chelsea striker left for a family reason, but now he is expected to join the squad in Al Wakrah, on Friday, before facing France in the quarter-finals.”
England will play France at Al-Bayt Stadium to appear in the semi-finals, and will try to overthrow the defending champion and reach the semi-finals once more, following doing so in Russia in 2018.
Sterling made two appearances in the group stage, scoring one goal and contributing to another, in the 6-2 win over Iran in the opening round.
But Sterling will compete for a place in the starting line-up with Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford, each with three goals, along with Phil Foden.
And if England qualifies for the semi-finals, it will play Portugal or Morocco, for the ticket to appear in the final.
