Ragnarok in 4K and 100 FPS! But not on PS5…

The port of God of War: Ragnarok has already been released on PCs today. NVIDIA has decided to show off how the title runs on powerful hardware. It turns out that the optimization is really good. Although a powerful card was used to run it, 100 frames in 4K resolution is impressive. It’s a shame that we can only dream of something like that on PS5…

God of War: Ragnarok Works as It Should – But on PC

The malicious claim that only on PC do games from Sony studios start to look as they should. Well, the premiere of God of War: Ragnarok is another example that such claims are not far from the truth. The latest port on computers is able to gain a face that console players can only dream of.

NVIDIA decided to check how the game handles on a powerful configuration with maximum graphics settings. It turns out that the title is able to run at 100 frames per second and in 4K resolution. We’re talking about native settings, so it makes an even bigger impression.

What hardware was the game running on? The PC was equipped with an RTX 4090, an Intel Core i9 14900K processor, and a whopping 64 GB of RAM. You can see the test results below:

Interestingly, playing in 4K and without DLSS is possible even on the RTX 4070. Sure, then we will achieve “only” 49 frames, but it is still a great result that console players can only dream of.
