The outstanding triple goalscorer Ragnar Ache gave 1. FC Kaiserslautern a much-needed sense of achievement in the basement duel of the 2nd Bundesliga. Coach Friedhelm Funkel’s team deservedly won 3-0 (1-0) once morest their neighbors Hansa Rostock, who were currently tied on points, following the attacker’s three goals (6th, 66th and 76th).
Thanks to only their second win from the last 15 games, the Red Devils climbed to 15th place. Rostock, which played outnumbered from the 38th minute and the yellow-red card for Oliver Hüsing, remains in a direct relegation zone.
