Raffi Ahmad grief-stricken at the end of the new year. This followingnoon her grandmother, Mami Popon, passed away.
The news was shared by Raffi Ahmad on Instagram. There, he also showed a photo hugging Mami Popon.
“Innalillahi waina ilaihi raajiun… Passed away at 16.01 today Saturday 31 December 2022, my beloved grandmother, Mrs. Hanifah binti Darma (mamih popon),” said Raffi Ahmad in an Instagram post seen by detikcom, Saturday (31/12/2022).
Furthermore, Nagita Slavina’s husband also prayed that all the sins of his grandmother during his lifetime would be forgiven and get the best place with God.
“May Allah forgive all his sins and mistakes,” said Raffi.
It is planned that Mami Popon’s body will be buried tomorrow in Bandung, West Java.
“God willing, he will be buried tomorrow in Bandung… Please forgive me if my mother/grandmother makes a mistake,” he wrote.
Raffi Ahmad’s manager, Prio, confirmed the news that Mami Popon had died. Raffi is considered to have continued to work on New Year’s Eve despite being hit by grief.
“He still shoots first because the funeral is tomorrow. The series of bodies may be from dawn to Bandung,” he said.
Mami Popon said Prio died at home. He will be buried probably tomorrow January 1, 2023 following the Zuhr prayer.
Just to note, while Mami Popon was being treated in Jakarta, Raffi Ahmad always visited his grandmother. Some time ago, for Mami Popon’s sake, Raffi Ahmad brought him together with Arya Saloka.
Mami Popon is known to have been in and out of the hospital. Amy Qanita explained regarding the condition of Mami Popon who had a stroke.
Mami Popon, who is 88 years old, has to use a tube to eat and drink because her throat is starting to fail.
