Jakarta –
Raffi Ahmad I have also felt haunted by my monthly installments. In fact, the figure reaches IDR 2 billion per month.
Raffi Ahmad said the installments were one of his motivations to work hard. He feels there is a responsibility every month that must be fulfilled.
“In the past, I also kept paying in installments. Every time I bought a car, a house, I kept paying in installments. That made us, if we had installments, have the motivation to work and pay the installments,” said Raffi Ahmad when met in the Mampang area, South Jakarta.
These installments existed when Raffi Ahmad was not married. Even when you first get married, there are still remaining installments.
“Being married for one, two years at first, I had installments of up to a month, almost IDR 2 billion. That’s just a lot (in installments),” admitted Raffi Ahmad.
“I used to be too wrong. It’s true that the installments should not be too high, so they fall, and I’m stressed. But in the end it’s a lesson for me. If we want to pay in installments, it’s up to our abilities,” said Raffi Ahmad.
Until now, Raffi Ahmad admits that he still has installments even though the value is not as big as before.
The man nicknamed Sultan Andara now has assets ranging from property, cars and businesses. He also has a Roll Royce car worth IDR 21 billion which is said to have been paid off.
“IDR 21 m has been (paid off). Thank God, the cars have all been paid off. There is one that hasn’t been paid off yet, it’s a house in BSD,” said Raffi Ahmad.
Raffi Ahmad has the principle that it is okay to open installments as long as he is able to pay and has more funds.
“Actually, in economics, paying in installments is allowed. For example, if we have IDR 1 billion, there is a car that costs IDR 500 million, if we buy it in cash, we will only have IDR 500 million left. We only have to spend 20 percent down payment of IDR 100 million, we still have money. Rp. 900 million,” said Raffi Ahmad.
“If I’m studying business now, it’s better if we plot the money every month while we’re still working. Unless we don’t have any more income in 1 to 2 years, we have to think twice. But if you feel like you’ll still be working in 1 to 2 years, every month you’ll earn money. don’t be afraid,” he continued.
The eldest of 3 siblings always sets aside 20 to 30 percent of money for an emergency fund. Only then did he use the remaining funds to buy something.
“I’ve always lived alone, for example, if I had IDR 100 million, at least I’d save IDR 20 to IDR 30 million. The remaining 70 percent, for example IDR 100 million, 30 percent I can spend, 30 to 40 percent I think regarding. want to invest or something,” he explained Raffi Ahmad.
