Oscar Todtmann editores and Banesco Banco Universal presented the work of the writer Rafael Castillo Zapata, Poetry reunited 1984-2008, which represents the 35th installment of the OT Poetry collection.

The event was held at the Ciudad Banesco headquarters, with the participation of writers Franklin Hurtado and Samuel González-Seijas.

The work is available at the Banesco Digital Library and at the La Poeteca Foundation, in addition to Amazon.com through the link: https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Rafael-Castillo-Zapata/dp/9804070847/ and in the main bookstores of Venezuela.

Rafael Castillo Zapata makes us reflect on the precariousness and voluptuousness of existence. He scrutinizes life and its reasons, passions and delusions, trying not to succumb to the dangers of the overabundance of language.

The author points out: “I have written little more than a hundred poems in forty years of persistent dealing with poetry. I would like to believe that I have thus escaped grandiloquence. That calms me down. Sobriety, frugality, a certain elocutive reticence, seem to me to be desirable virtues of good poetic saying”.

Present at the event were the editors Luna Benítez and Cartens Todtmann, who ratified their interest in continuing to disseminate the poetic work of so many Venezuelan writers who are the pride of our literature.

Marco Tulio Ortega Vargas. executive president of Banesco Banco Universal, also highlighted that this bank, through the Banesco Digital Library, which is part of its Corporate Responsibility program, continues to promote these initiatives that strengthen the education of citizens.
