Tamir Shalom, head of the local council Yosod HaMaale spoke to Liat Ron on 104.5fm regarding the alarms that were activated yesterday (Sunday) in the settlements of the Hula Valley that are not being evacuated where the residents are angry at the government that as a result of its conduct they are forced to live in the heart of a war zone and with almost no possibility of leading a normal life.
At the beginning of the conversation he said: “My residents are losing sleep, we are in a warlike reality”
When asked regarding the employment situation in the base of the Ma’ala, he replied: “The tourism businesses are very damaged, completely empty and in the meantime they are compensated as part of the ‘war of iron swords’, those who are not tourists do not receive compensation at all.”
He also said: “The campaign has expanded. We have to make sure it’s quiet”, he continued: “I think the equation that has been created now that we shoot a missile and they are two, and to everyone it seems logical – delusional”.
At the end of his speech he said: “Yusod Ha’Maale has become the northern border of the State of Israel.”
