The BJP-Muslim League war of words continues, accusing each other of racism. PMA Salam, state general secretary of the league, said in a Facebook post that the Muslim League does not need to learn secularism and democracy from Surendran. The Facebook post is in response to allegations made by BJP state president K Surendran.

Backward Dalits have always believed in the Muslim League and are close to the movement. They have no obligation to convince the BJP. When the debate on whether the League is a communal party or not comes to the fore once once more, it is an absolute reality that anyone who examines the political and social sphere of Kerala in the past cannot see that the Muslim League has adopted communal positions at any point. BJP is the only party left in Kerala which has not digested this in the new situation where the democratic secular views of the League have been given a good certificate by the CPIM.

The BJP leaders do not know that the Muslim League is a group that is ready to protect the unity and integrity of the country and to work towards the progress of the country, standing behind Qaide Millat who called ‘not to Pakistan, but to join the pluralism of India’. I have only one thing to say to the BJP president who is accusing the Muslim League of communalism.. The Muslim League does not have the courage to learn secularism and democracy from you.

And regarding the membership of UC Raman, not just one UC Raman, we have given membership to a thousand Ramans this time too, the Dalit backward communities have always believed in the Muslim League and are sticking to the movement. PMA Salam clarified that we have no obligation to convince the BJP.
The BJP state president alleged that the Muslim League is a communal party in its flesh and blood. It is a party that gives membership only to Muslims. K Surendran also alleged that even UC Raman is not a member of the league. This angered the league.
