After fans asked Rachel ZeglerIf he would be present at the Oscars for the numerous nominations that the film “West Side Story” won, it was shocking that he said no.
Rachel assured on her social networks that although she tried to get an invitation, they did not invite her, so she will have to watch the awards from home “in pajamas and with a blanket.”
The West Side Story movie had a lot of controversy this year before its premiere, since Ansel Elgort, one of the actors accused of sexual harassment and abuse, was in the cast. The film was boycotted and heavily criticized.
“I hope a last minute miracle happens and it can celebrate our last minute movie but hey, that’s how it happens sometimes I guess,” he wrote. “Thank you for the shock and anger, I am also disappointed. But it’s okay. I am so proud of the film!”
