The 19th race of the 2023 regular season at Atlanta Motor Speedway is the 119th edition overall since 1960 at the 1.54-mile quad oval west of Hampton. It is also the fifth of a total of eight night races this season. From the 2011 to 2020 season there was only one event in the US state of Georgia. The NASCAR circus has been a guest in spring and summer since 2021.

The spring and summer races each cover a race distance of 400 miles. The stages have been reorganized and have a length of 60, 100 and the final 100 rounds.

After conversion work for the 2022 season, the track was given new asphalt once more following 1997. At the same time, there is a steeper banked curve from 24 to 28 degrees. The track width was also completely reduced from 16.80 to 12.20 meters.
