R. Žadeika, the shareholder of “Achemos grupė”, is not considering purchasing a controlling stake in the company | Business

This is what R. Žadeika told the portal back in June, following the news appeared that one of the thirteen small shareholders of the company is considering buying the shares of one of the largest business groups in Lithuania.

“Certainly not me and certainly not my sons. I would buy it if I had that much money. But maybe some of the small ones (shareholders – BNS) have a partner who might help purchase a larger or smaller number of shares, or maybe even the entire package,” said R. Žadeika to “Verslo žinia”.

Together with his sons Paulius and Adam Žadeikis, he owns 12.92 percent. “Achemos Group” shares.

At the beginning of June, the Swiss energy company “MET Group” announced that it intends to acquire 54.07 percent. “Achemos Group” shares. Such a package is managed by Lyda Lubienė and her daughter Viktorija Lubytė.

The Swiss company then also said that it would seek to reach an agreement with the small shareholders of the concern and buy out their shares.

Benjamin Lakatos, CEO of MET Group, nevertheless said that he has information that one of the minority shareholders is considering buying the shares of Achemas Group.

According to R. Žadeika, a small shareholder considering the acquisition of a controlling stake in the group most likely has a strategic partner who would be financially strong and willing to undertake a very complex business, depending on the geopolitical situation.

Lubytė, the rest – 13 natural persons: Algirdas Ivanauskas, Danguolė Emilija Jurgaitienė, Armantas Gintautas, Marija Kaminskienė, Arūnas Laurinaitis, Alvyda Misiūnienė, Eduardas Plauška, Rimantas Rėklaitis, Jonas Sirvydis, Česlovas Skiedra, Adams, Paulius and Romualdas Žadeikos.

“Achemos group” unites regarding 40 companies operating in the Baltic States, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Croatia in the production of fertilizers, agribusiness, loading and logistics, energy, gas production and trade.

The group suffered 17.05 million last year. EUR net consolidated losses (earned EUR 73.07 million in net profit in 2022). Last year, it paid out 24.358 million to shareholders. EUR dividends.
