Racing fans surrender at the feet of Juan Fernando Quintero who, once again in Argentine football, makes history.
Quinterito, with two goals, sent his team directly to the final of the Copa Conmebol Sudamericana.
In the Cilindro de Avellaneda, Racing defeated Corinthians with the Colombian’s goals in three minutes, which generated a standing ovation from the stadium.
The team went to the final where Cruzeiro is waiting for them, who eliminated Lanús in the semifinal.
Racing’s passage to the final took away Brazil’s ability to have the four finalists from the same country in the Conmebol competitions.
Quintero’s double sends Racing to the final
As will be remembered, for the Libertadores, the final will be played by Atlético Mineiro, who eliminated River Plate, and Botafogo, who eliminated Peñarol.
At the end of the match, Quintero, chosen as the best player of the match, visibly excited, pointed out that the only thing he does on the court is enjoy his talent.
Juanfer showed that in decisive matches he brings out the best of his talent. The double reminded us of the feat achieved with River Plate in the Libertadores final against Boca Juniors, where he scored a tremendous goal.
The final of the Sudamericana will be on Saturday, November 23 at the Pablo Rojas stadium in Asunción, Paraguay.
