Quintero lying? Controversy over court renovation in El Raizal de Manrique

The Medellín Mayor’s Office delivered this Tuesday the El Raizal synthetic pitch, in Manrique, following carrying out repair work worth $1,083 million. The intervention, however, ended up generating controversy: Mayor Daniel Quintero said that this is practically the first time that he has been “handed over.”

The repair will benefit 1,200 children, young people and adults from this area in the center of the city. In the complex, the grass, the protection filter, the metal mesh, the sports equipment and the paint were changed. That is not at issue.

what generated discomfort It was a subsequent departure of the local president through Twitter. This expressed: “For years Manrique had a pitch like this. Now they have a completely renovated, like new, and it looks like this”.

In the post, Quintero makes a comparison between the photos that are attached to this note. He alleges that, before the renewal of his administration, El Raizal had a field on living land, without grass, with green tarps around it. and, as if that were not enough, mountains of sand.

In social networks, the president’s comparison did not go unnoticed and they were in charge of showing that, at least, his statement is imprecise, to go no further. There are photographic records that, since 2016, they show that the conditions of the field were optimal.

It is seen with grass, enabled for citizenship, with paint and their respective layouts. In 2019, when the previous administration left, it was also evident that the complex looked fit for use.very different from the photo published by Mayor Quintero.

“Daniel Quintero, in his desire to believe he was the conqueror of Medellín (…), tendentiously puts a photo of the reform they did in this administration in which the grass is raised and even the construction workers can be seen there”They assured on social networks.
