Quinté+: GRAND HANDICAP DE DEAUVILLE – DEAUVILLE – 08/07/2022: runners, predictions and results in video

Our opinion: COUNTERWINDS (14)

This son of Kendargent is clearly the moral winner of the National Day Handicap. He has never disappointed with Australian blinders and loves this distance. In great shape, he is capable of pinning this important meeting to his list.

Race analysis

Moral winner of the July 14 event, Vents Contraires (14) approaches this important meeting in full possession of its means. Entrusted to the euphoric Maxime Guyon for the occasion, it can pin a second Quinté+ on its record. Holding the title of this meeting, Now We Know (9) has certainly been carefully prepared by Nicolas Clément to defend his title. Net winner for his first performance with Australian blinkers, Rock Joyeux (16) still has a little room for improvement. For his debut in the handicaps, he seems taken at a completely honest value. Quadruple represented, Jerôme Reynier will mainly rely on National Service (5), performing on straight courses, and Dar Toungi (13), noticed several times in the South-East. Between them, we will insert the excellent finisher Hooking (6), which the shortening of distance should not upset too much. Fourth in the 2021 edition, without being very lucky, Sky Power (4) can do just as well this season, if not better. Overall disappointing following giving rise to high hopes at the start of his career, Parchment (3) can find his way in the handicaps.
