Quilmes Municipality – News

It was held at the President Néstor Kirchner microstadium

The Municipality of Quilmes informs that this Sunday the Solidarity Festival “Without Fear x A Little Noise” was held, for Children’s Day and within the framework of the 358th anniversary of the city, with the participation of thousands of neighbors who came to the facilities of the President Néstor Kirchner Microstadium located within the Reynaldo Gorno Municipal Sports Center, in Quilmes Oeste, to enjoy the presentation of different artists and popular music groups with the stellar closing by Sebastián Mendoza.

Families who attended the celebration donated a significant amount of toys, non-perishable food and diapers that will be delivered and documented at different points and centers in the district.

This solidarity initiative, with free entry (it was mandatory to enter with a non-perishable food item, a new or good toy) was carried out thanks to the joint work of the Commune with “Sin Miedo” and “Un Poco de Ruido”, two streaming programs dedicated to cumbia that are all the rage on social networks with millions of followers on Instagram and daily views on their different platforms such as YouTube.

For his part, Pinky SD of “Un Poco de Ruido” expressed: “The kids from Sin Miedo and I really wanted to help. Since we have a lot of young audiences, we decided it was a good idea to help and bring them something more than just music, a little joy with a toy or food. The Municipality of Quilmes made itself available with what was needed and it was a beautiful family afternoon. The collaboration of the Municipality was something we were missing because we can provide the people, the call to the artists, but we do not have the structure to make this celebration. We are grateful.”

Along the same lines, Santi Cairo (ex Yerba Brava) said: “The event was spectacular, I am very happy. We were given the opportunity to come because of this different audience, full of young people, children and families, and one really enjoys it. Thanks to this union with the Municipality, many people who may not be able to go out on a weekend and enjoy a show, can now do so. Without the intervention of the State, these people would not have the possibility of seeing us, which I consider extremely necessary.”

In this regard, the presenter of “Sin Miedo”, Fernando “Macho” Toscani highlighted: “I am in favour of solidarity acts. All this is very good. I like the initiative, we got together with the kids and said yes, we would come. We want to be able to help because the situation in the country is complicated and we try to bring a little joy to the people. Cumbia is a musical genre that entertains, it reaches out to the family. We are very happy to collaborate.”

Meanwhile, singer Ezequiel Pradas (Ezequiel y La Clave Norteña) said: “I loved this initiative, I congratulate them with all my heart. I love participating in these solidarity events where it is not only about sharing our art but also through music generating empathy for those who need it right now. I am happy and grateful that they have given me the opportunity to participate and that they count on me.”

The following artists also performed at the show: Junior, Jackita, Mc Caco, Supermerk2 and La Romy DJ, who filled the audience with nostalgia with old-fashioned cumbias and lots of rhythm. There were also gazebos from the Municipality that received donations and food trucks with a varied gastronomic offer at affordable prices.

It is worth mentioning that “Sin Miedo” is headed by presenter Fernando “Macho” Toscani who is in charge of the cumbia “Sessions”. Meanwhile, “Un Poco de Ruido” is made up of the trio Pinky SD, DJ Pipo and Damo Martínez who every Wednesday from 9 to 11 pm on Twitch and YouTube delight the public with the tropical rhythm of their famous “Zapadas”.
