Kuwait City: The Ministry of Education has taken strict action in the question paper leak incident. Investigation and action once morest those behind the incident is in progress. The bank accounts of those already arrested were frozen yesterday. The Ministry of Education has announced that five expatriate teachers who were arrested have been dismissed from their jobs.

The question papers of high school and higher secondary exams were leaked. Just before the commencement of the exams, the accused took money from the students and shared the questions through WhatsApp. The reward for leaking the question paper was transferred through the payment link. One hundred to 150 dinars were charged to add students to the WhatsApp group led by the teachers.

After receiving information regarding the incident, a large group including teachers were arrested during the investigation led by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The investigation team revealed that the accused have earned more than three million dinars from question paper leak that has been going on for many years.

Three natives and one non-resident are to be arrested as the main accused in the case. Days ago, the Public Prosecution ordered 14 new accused, including four women working in the Ministry of Education, to be jailed. Officials said that there will be more arrests in the case. Many students have also testified regarding the exam paper leak.

Media reported that the authorities are planning to re-conduct the mid-term exams conducted earlier following the question paper was found to be leaked. The authorities have warned that teachers will face severe action if they help students to cheat in exams.
