She is not the last to splurge in terms of fashion! That is why, without a doubt, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands traveled to Italy, on the occasion of Milan Design Week – the Milan International Furniture Fair, which takes place from April 18 to Sunday April 23, 2023. C It was in this city that the sovereign was seen on Tuesday 18, when she had a rather busy schedule.
Coming to visit Dutch designers, who export their culture and sharp tastes internationally, the mother of Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane met up with landscape architect Petra Blaisse to discover her work at the Parco Biblioteca degli Alberi then set foot at the Fondazione Riccardo Catella, where an exhibition on the use of materials and the innovative applications of traditional techniques is currently being held there.
A crazy look for Queen Maxima
Of course, Maxima from the Netherlands had unearthed a few couture pieces in her wardrobe so as not to pass for an amateur with all these designers! She had opted for an amazing and explosive look consisting of a trench coat with holes – or rather eyelets – designed by the famous Dutch fashion designer Claes Iversen, 2019 collection, revealing an azure blue jumpsuit. To accessorize this strong piece, she chose a Begüm Khan embroidered clutch, nude Ferragamo leather pumps and Cartier sunglasses.
Visitors to the Milan International Furniture Fair will find, until Sunday April 23, 2023, several spaces dedicated to Dutch designers, all over the city. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands therefore flew to Italy for a day, following completing certain missions on her land. She took charge, on April 13, of welcoming Brigitte Macron in the sublime alleys of the Botanical Garden Keukenhof, in Lisse. She then found our first lady, accompanied by her husband Emmanuel Macron, at a state dinner.
