Hawass indicated that Queen Cleopatra was like the Macedonian princes and kings, and if we look at the statues of the queen and the currency, we will not find any evidence to support the claim that Cleopatra was black.
And if we look at ancient Egypt, we will find that it is not a black civilization, and there are scenes of the pharaoh on the temples and tombs as he strikes the enemies and in front of him are people from Africa, Libya and Asia, and we will not find any similarity between the pharaoh and the neighboring peoples.
“Hawass” added: We know that the Kingdom of Kush ruled Egypt in the 25th Dynasty, and this is in the late era, but they have no connection with the Pharaonic civilization.
Hawass clarified: I am not once morest blacks at all, but I found it my duty, as a rich man, to clarify the facts and declare that Cleopatra was not black.
