Even if Karl Tremblay is still battling cancer, the Cowboys Fringants will reconnect with the Plains of Abraham on the occasion of one of the two carte blanche that the Summer Festival has offered to Quebec artists.

Programmer Louis Bellavance says he has been assured that the singer of the popular group will be able to take the stage on July 13.
“I am told that he reacts very well [aux traitements] and that the protocol he is currently following is much less invasive. He is very happy with it, since it gives him more energy and has less impact on his health and his ability to perform. »
The Cowboys Fringants will obviously not be at their first Plains.
They played there regularly as part of the FEQ, especially during the first decade of the millennium.
Their last concert on the main stage, on a carte blanche basis, dates back to 2017.
For their reunion with the public of the Plains of Abraham, they will be paired with a legend, Robert Charlebois.
Initially, the FEQ wanted to have them in 2024, and it was Robert Charlebois who was to inherit one of the two Quebec carte blanche (the other belongs to the Trois Accords).
“Eventually the Cowboys came back telling us they have big plans this year and 2024 was uncertain. We had no other evening available, so we approached Robert’s team. Either we did them together, or we dropped one of the two. Everyone was delighted,” says Louis Bellavance.
Several Quebecers
Several other Quebecers will be able to discover the Plains scene, as a first part. We will notably see Sara Dufour, Bleu Jeans Bleu, Naya Ali and Les Shirley.
At the Parc de la Francophonie, there will be even more.
Among the headliners of the second stage, we will find Cœur de pirate, Milk & Bone, Roxane Bruneau, Bobby Bazini, Souldia, Les Louanges, Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project, Patrice Michaud and Jonathan Roy.
