According to a study published by the company Point2, 10 of the 15 cheapest cities for renters are in Quebec.
According to data provided by the firm, tenants in nine Quebec cities pay less than $1,000 on average for their rent.

Residents of other major Canadian cities have to pay much more than their Quebec compatriots.
As far as homeowners are concerned, 9 Quebec cities appear on the list of the 15 Canadian cities where you pay the least for your mortgage.
Oakville, Ontario is where residents pay the most for their mortgage or rent.
It is in Trois-Rivières that tenants spend the least on their rent, with an average of $676 per month.
