Riyadh: One hundred ‘lightning’ tests are carried out daily in Saudi Arabia to ensure the quality of Samsam water. The samsam water is tested by highly trained microbiologists in world-class laboratories to ensure its quality and safety. Authorities said the test was being carried out in a special laboratory located on the roof of the Haram mosque.

The action aims to provide clean and tidy Samsam water to the visitors. Test samples are collected daily from distribution centers. Samples taken for testing are first transferred to safety cabins. The test is performed using ultraviolet rays.
