Qualcomm and Samsung are expected to make their partnership even stronger within the next two years. Information revealed by enthusiast and leaker Revegnus this Wednesday (08) indicates that the North American manufacturer will to create a series of exclusive processors for cell phones and tablets in the Galaxy line em 2025.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 had an exclusive version produced for the Galaxy S23, but its only difference is the increase in CPU and GPU clock speeds. It is speculated that Qualcomm will introduce custom hardware for Samsung phones in 2025, and the advantages would go beyond the frequency of the platform.
Samsung and Qualcomm’s collaboration seems to continue.
Were you disappointed with the 8 Gen2 for Galaxy, which was simply a overclocked?
Starting in 2025, it looks like there will be a chip from Qualcomm just for Samsung, along with a chip from Samsung just for Galaxy.— Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) March 8, 2023
O leaker also suggests that the exclusive platform would be presented alongside a new generation of Exynos by mentioning a “Samsung chip only for the Galaxy”, reiterating that the South Korean giant might resume its previous strategy and launch its cell phones in versions equipped with Exynos or Snapdragon, depending on the region.
It is worth remembering that Samsung announced the Galaxy S22 in selected regions — including Brazil — with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while other countries received variants equipped with Exynos 2200. In 2023, this strategy changed and all the brand’s top-of-the-line cell phones were launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, no hint of the Exynos 2300.
The new platforms, whose names are still a mystery, would be presented in a period that would coincide with the mass production of chips with 3GAP lithography by Samsung, that is, the “second generation” of the 3 nanometers with GAA process (Gate-All- Around), which promises to optimize the power delivery between transistors.
It’s no secret that Samsung is directly benefiting from the partnership with Qualcomm. The Galaxy S23 Ultra powered by its unique Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 variant is faster than most phones with the original version.

Part of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance leap can be attributed to the migration of Samsung’s 4-nanometer process to TSMC, which has proven to be much more efficient and fruitful, so it’s possible that the South Korean is confident that the next few generations of your lithographs are most beneficial to Qualcomm.
