QuakeCon returns with an in-person event in August, with restricted audience

After three years of digital broadcasting, QuakeCon is finally back in person, in Grapevine, Texas (USA). The meeting has already been scheduled, will take place from the 10th to the 13th of August. The face-to-face event, organized by ZeniMax Media since 1996, will mainly consist of a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) LAN Party.

There will also be a variety of online sessions streamed on Twitch for those unable to attend.

Sweepstakes for Elite Entry Packs open April 11, with regular ticket packs opening for pre-registration on April 21, 2023, starting at $75 and going up to $400. Due to the lesser focus of this QuakeCon’s physical presence, it will not be fully open to the general public, but pre-registered BYOC attendees only. The full schedule for QuakeCon 2023 has yet to be released.

In addition to BYOC, many fan favorite activities will resume including Tabletop Village, BYOC community events and the QuakeCon Finals Party. QuakeCon will also play host to the annual Quake World Championships esports final, featuring the Quake Champions.

Over the past few years, the panels have been varied and have included developer Arkane Studios to talk regarding Redfall and the release of Quake remastered. For this year, there is great anticipation for Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, which is scheduled to release on September 6, 2023.
