Real Madrid beat its guest, Real Sociedad, 4-1, in the twenty-seventh stage of the Spanish Football League.
Sociedad was the first to score with a goal by Mikel Oyarzabal in the tenth minute from a penalty kick.
Real Madrid equalized with the goal of Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga in the 39th minute, then Croatian Luka Modric scored the second goal in the 44th minute.
In the second half, French Karim Benzema added the third goal in the 76th minute from a penalty kick, and Marco Asensio scored the fourth goal in the 80th minute.
Benzema’s record of 20 goals became the top scorer in the “La Liga”.
Real Madrid’s tally of 63 points is in the lead, in front of Seville, the second, with 55 points, while Sociedad’s tally of 47 points remains in sixth place.
This victory for Real Madrid comes before its home match once morest Paris Saint-Germain, next Wednesday, in the second leg of the 16th round of the European Champions League, following losing the first leg 0-1.
