QNAP launches new line of PCIe interface JBOD storage enclosures supporting SATA drives to achieve petabyte-level storage. The all-new TL-Rx00PES-RP line of PCIe JBODs uses SATA drives with 12 to 24 bays.
The nnew range of JBOD PCIe storage enclosuresthe TL-Rx00PES-RP, features PCIe Gen 3 x8, with a data transfer speed of up to 64 Gbit/s.
This range is ideal for businesses that want to archive/back up virtualization applications, surveillance recordings, big data and multimedia content, especially on Linux.
Three configurations are offered by QNAP :
- 1. TL-R2400PES-RP (Coming soon): 24 drive bays; 4U rack-mounted model
- 2. TL-R1600PES-RP: 16 drive bays; 3U rack-mounted model
- 3. TL-R1200PES-RP: 12 drive bays; 2U rack-mounted model
Users can expand existing NAS storage volumes to the petabyte level by connecting several ranges of the TL-Rx00PES-RP, without having to rebuild the RAID on the host NAS. The TL-Rx00PES-RP series supports SATA drives, which opens up a wide choice of hard drives.
