Qatar’s trade balance surplus rises to $7.75 billion

The surplus of the merchandise trade balance of the State of Qatar increased last December by 10% on an annual basis and 7.6% on a monthly basis, to reach 28.2 billion Qatari riyals (7.75 billion US dollars).

According to the data of the Planning and Statistics Authority issued on Saturday evening, the increase in exports and curbing imports contributed to supporting the trade surplus, as the value of Qatari exports of local origin and re-exports amounted to regarding 38.3 billion riyals, an increase of 7.6% compared to December 2021, and an increase of 3.1% from November 2022, while the value of Merchandise imports during the month of December increased by 7.7% from November, to reach regarding 10.1 billion riyals, according to what was reported by (Al Sharq Bloomberg) website.

The value of Qatar’s exports of oil, gas and condensate rose during December to 26.2 billion riyals, an increase of 12.9% on an annual basis and 6.1% on a monthly basis.
