Qatar’s Public Transport Success: 1.3 Million Passengers Use Buses during AFC Asian Cup

Doha: Reportedly, more than 1.3 million passengers used public transport as part of the AFC Asian Cup tournament. Qatar Ministry of Transport authorities have specified the figures of people who used buses that are part of the country’s public transport system.

The officials released the report from January 12 to January 23, when the tournament started. During this period, 13,65,659 passengers traveled by Qatar buses and special buses prepared for the Asian Cup.

This is the third time Qatar is hosting the Asian Cup. Asian Cup matches are held in nine stadiums across the country. The final match of the 51-match Asian Cup will be held on February 10.
