Qatar’s Generous Aid for Ukraine’s Reconstruction after Russian Attack

Doha: Qatar has offered help for the reconstruction of Ukraine, which is in distress following the Russian attack. Qatar will give 10 crores of dollars and 800 crores of rupees as aid.

The humanitarian aid was announced during the visit of the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to Ukraine on the instructions of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The money will be spent on development and reconstruction of infrastructure in the health education sector, provision of drinking water systems and philanthropic humanitarian assistance. Along with this, 50 scholarships have been announced for Ukrainian students at Qatar University this academic year.

The Qatari Prime Minister announced the aid during a press conference held with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmihal as part of his visit to Kyiv. Earlier, Qatar provided $20 million in aid to Ukraine for the rehabilitation of its grain export enterprises.
