Qatari Abdullah Al-Athba provokes an interaction with his tweet, “A word for the great Yemeni leader, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.”

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Qatari media, Abdullah Al-Athba, sparked a wide interaction among activists on social media, following he published a tweet regarding an expected speech of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthi group in Yemen.

Al-Athba said in the tweet, posting a picture of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi: “A word by the great Yemeni leader, Mr. Abdul-Malik bin Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi Al-Hashemi Al-Qurashi tonight at 7:30 Sana’a time.”

The owner of the Sami Alsubaey account replied, saying in a tweet: “No, this Abu Hamad is bombing the land of the Two Holy Mosques on a daily basis, and you claim that he is a leader.

Al-Athba responded to the last tweet, saying: “My family and uncles are in Saudi Arabia, and we wish them and my family in Yemen and the entire Gulf all the best, and this does not negate that Mr. Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi is a Yemeni leader who has weight. The evidence is that Riyadh invited a delegation from them if Mr. Al-Houthi agreed to negotiate in Riyadh to put burdens on him.” The war on Yemen… and the Saudi statement that they are Arabs is another witness, may God protect you.”
