Oman with multi-entry tourist visa for holders of ‘Haiya’ card issued by Qatar in connection with World Cup football. National carrier Oman Air has also announced special flight tickets for football fans who want to watch World Cup matches in Qatar.
Oman has prepared a wide range of facilities to accommodate World Cup fans. A multi-entry tourist visa valid for 60 days is free.Hiya card holders can bring their family and stay in Oman. It is expected that the new visa will wake up the hotels in places like Muscat and Salalah.
National carrier Oman Air will operate low-cost service to Qatar to watch football matches. Bookings will start from 99 riyals for economy class and 305 riyals for business class. But special concessions will be given to native citizens. Oman Air will carry 3,000 football fans daily from Oman to Qatar. The Sultanate also has extensive facilities in the hotel sector. There are 200 resorts and more than 20,000 hotel rooms in 11 provinces in different governorates. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will also organize various programs to promote the World Cup Festival.
