Qatar World Cup.. America eliminates Iran and qualifies for the round of 16

The US national team eliminated its Iranian counterpart from the World Cup qualifiers in Doha following winning a decisive match with a goal to none, scored by striker Christian Polistic in the 38th minute of the match.

The United States qualified for the round of 16 to meet the Netherlands on December 2, in a match from which the loser will be eliminated from the qualifiers.

America’s balance rose to five points, to come in second place following England, the leader, with 7 points, and Iran’s balance stood at 3 points, as its national team bid farewell to the tournament in the first round.

A busy tour of the Iranian national team ended following losing 6 goals to 2 once morest England, and managed to beat Wales on two goals to enter its final match in a better position than the American team, as a draw was enough for them to qualify, while the Americans needed to win.

The US team scored its first goal following a series of unsuccessful attacks.

Christian Polistic managed to score by penetrating the ranks of the Iranian national team in the 38th minute of the match, following a perfect pass with the head from one of his teammates in the Iranian penalty area, following which he violently clashed with the Iranian goalkeeper, Ali Reza Perranand, but he returned to the match following receiving treatment.

The American team scored a second goal seconds before the end of extra time in the first half, but the referee canceled the goal because it was scored from an offside position.
