Doha: The Ministry of Higher Education has announced that classes will start in all schools in Qatar on August 27 following the summer vacation. Classes resume following the new academic year in Qatari government schools and following the completion of the first term in institutions including Indian schools.
In the new academic year, 1.32 lakh students, including those in kindergartens and schools, are entering school. There are a total of 279 schools. Out of these, 1.24 lakh children in 214 schools will attend classes on Sunday 27th. 7,936 students in 65 Kindergartens will enter classes at the end of August.
School teachers and staff will be active by the 20th of this month. Teachers have arrived in Indian schools in the last few days. The teachers and staff arrive early to prepare the basic facilities of the school before the schools open following the summer vacation and the children arrive. Orientation camps and training programs for teachers are active in various schools.
