Qatar Reestablishes Diplomatic Ties with UAE: New Ambassador Appointed

Doha: After a six-year hiatus, Qatar has announced its ambassador to the UAE following opening embassies and re-establishing diplomatic ties. Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is Dr. Sultan Zalmeen Saeed Al Mansoori was announced as the new ambassador to the UAE.

He is Qatar’s first diplomatic representative to the Emirates since the 2017 Gulf blockade. It was a month ago that the embassies in both the states opened and started functioning.
