Doha: Qatar Museum invites works by young and old artists. The opportunity to propose works of art for public spaces is part of nurturing the country’s cultural and artistic heritage and promoting talented artists living in Qatar. The Qatar Museum has stated in the notice that proposals for artworks should be submitted by the 15th of this month.

Qatar Museums Public Art Director Engineer Abdulrahman Al Ishaq said that applications are invited from everyone as part of giving opportunities to newcomers and experienced senior artists living in the country. Skilled artists may submit one or more artworks. The artists chosen by the museum can paint the best works of art on walls around the country.

Meanwhile, Abdulrahman Al Ishaq stated that university students and graduates have been invited to propose temporary or permanent public artwork for this year’s museum public artwork competition for students. The deadline for students to submit proposals is September 5. Al Ishaq said that university students and graduates will be given the opportunity to exhibit their works permanently and temporarily in the general art student section this year. Those selected from among the students who apply before September 5th can prepare their artworks with the support of the Public Art department.
