External press reports revealed details of the opening ceremony of the Asian Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar, starting today, Friday.
Al Arabiya’s correspondent in Qatar explained that the opening of the gates to Lusail Stadium, which will host the opening match of the Asian Cup between Qatar and Lebanon, will be at two in the followingnoon.
The reporter pointed out that there are calls to use public transportation when heading to Lusail Stadium, noting that anyone holding a ticket for the opening match will use public transportation for free, especially the metro.
He explained that the opening ceremony will be at five in the evening Qatar time, and will not be a long ceremony, and will carry some diverse paragraphs, and include a message regarding the Arab region in Asia, and another for East and Central Asia.
The reporter quoted Qatari officials as saying that the opening ceremony of the Asian Cup will be impressive and different from the ceremonies of previous editions.
The reporter concluded his statements by confirming that the head of the tournament organizing committee visited Lusail Stadium yesterday, Thursday, in order to ensure readiness, and that he spoke positively regarding the organization and preparations for the opening ceremony.
