AFTER two consecutive weeks of competing at the PF International Kart Circuit in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, competing against hundreds of karters from all over the world with a best achievement of 21st position, and opening the qualification in first position, kart racer Qarrar Firhand returned to Italy.

This weekend, Qarrar returned to the South Garda Karting Circuit, in Lonato, Italy, Friday-Sunday (20-22/9) in an event titled Campiano Italiano Aci Karting. Hundreds of Italian racers and almost all of Europe and the World participated in the event.

In Italy, Qarrar repeated the same success at the South Garda Circuit by taking pole position in the qualifying session on Friday (20/9). This means that in the pre-final round on Saturday (21/9), the youngest son of the couple Firhand Ali and Aimaa Firhand will start from the front position.

“I am happy and proud to finish the qualification in first place. Obviously I am very happy. Thank you to the entire Parolin Motorsport team crew, team manager, Luca, mechanics, also Mirko and my Papi. Hopefully in the final (Sunday) I can achieve the best results,” said Qarrar who is supported by Pertamina, Telkomsel, PGN, Asuransi Tugu, BTN, Eiger and INTime.

According to Qarrar’s father, Firhand Ali, the competition in Lonato must be quite tough. But because his son has lived and studied at Brescia International School, Italy for three years, the best results are predicted to be obtained on Sunday.

“Please pray that the results in the final will be better. What is certain is that we are proud that Qarrar was able to achieve P1 in qualifying,” said Firhand who also has experience racing at the South Garda Circuit in Italy when he was a Formula racer. (Z-6)
