Raków Częstochowa, which was undisputedly the best team of the last season in the Ekstraklasa and deservedly became the champion of Poland, and Legia Warszawa, which won the Polish Cup at the National Stadium on May 2, will compete for the Polish Super Cup this year. So it will be a clash of the two best teams of the 2022/23 season.
The PZPN announced the official date of the meeting. The match for the Polish Super Cup will be played at the stadium of the Polish champion, i.e. at Limanowskiego 83 in Częstochowa. It will take place on Saturday, July 15 at 20:10. The television broadcast will be carried out by the Polsat Sport station.

Raków’s match with Legia will also be the first match for the trophy of Dawid Szwarga, who will be the first coach of Raków from the new season. He will replace Marek Papszun, who is leaving following seven years. Szwarga will have the opportunity to start his adventure as the first coach following winning the cup.
For Raków, it will be an opportunity to take revenge for Legia’s defeat in the Polish Cup final. If Częstochowa wins, the Supercup will go to Jasna Góra for the third time in a row. In turn, Legia celebrated winning this trophy for the last time… in 2008. The team from Łazienkowska will stand a chance for the first win in 15 years! Since then, the Varsovians have played in the final eight times, but each time they left the field defeated.
