PZPN dismisses the coach of the Polish national team. The Polish National Team was in a frenzy on the Internet

Although the Polish Football Association is responsible for many national teams – from adult women’s and men’s teams to youth and beach soccer teams, the most attention is, of course, focused on the men’s national team. Over the last four years, it has been led by five coaches – Jerzy Brzęczek, Paulo Sousa, Czesław Michniewicz, Fernando Santos and Michał Probierz.

PZPN did not forget to thank the coach. Internet users surprised

It was different in the case of the beach soccer team. These were led by Tomasz Wydmuszek for over three years, from July 2020. He was leading because on Friday followingnoon the Polish Football Association announced that Wydmuszek “ceased to be the coach of the Polish beach soccer team.” The association added that the current coach led the team in 38 matches, including during the 2023 European Games, which took place in Poland. At this event, the White and Reds took eighth place. However, in the last qualifying round for the World Cup, Poles took 11th place and will not go to this tournament.

– I have always said that I am proud that I might have been a player of the Polish national team in the past. Now I would like to add that I also feel great pride and satisfaction in having been the coach of the national team. I would like to thank the authorities of the Polish Football Association, my directors, administrators, the entire staff and, above all, the players with whom I spent many fantastic moments for many years of cooperation. This job gave me a lot of experience and I am most happy regarding it – said Tomasz Wydmuszek, quoted in the official PZPN press release.

The association itself also thanked him “for his cooperation and contribution to the development of Polish beach soccer” and wished him good luck in his further career. For now, it is not known who will be the new coach of the beach soccer team.

At the same time, Internet users were quick to point out to PZPN that this time they did not forget to thank them for their work. “Wow PZPN can write ‘thank you'” wrote one of them. This is, of course, a reference to the dismissal of Jakub Kwiatkowski, who was not thanked for 11 years of work in the union.
