Dallas ∙ Souvenir is published this year under the auspices of the Pentecostal Youth Conference of Dallas (PYCD), one of the strongest youth movements among Malayalee Pentecostal churches in America. It is interesting to note that even in its forty-first year, this spiritual movement stands as an example not only among the youth, but also for the entire faith community with its various activities. From the first gathering of just 250 people in 1982, this youth organization has grown into a united community gathering thousands today.
There are 37 churches in Dallas that are members of PYCD this year. Apart from spiritual gatherings, various arts and sports competitions are also organized in Dallas every year. Hundreds of young women and children participated in the talent test organized on August 12 this year. On one Sunday as part of the Annual Conference held every year, it is customary for all members of the congregation to come together for joint worship. This year’s conference is scheduled to be held on October 6-8. As a part of it, a souvenir is being published for the first time in the history of PYCD. the
