Comprehensive medical care directly at the Westbahnhof
Vienna (OTS) – A new primary care unit opens in Vienna, it is the 20th PVE in Vienna. Located directly at the Westbahnhof, PVE Wien West guarantees comprehensive care for patients and accompanies them throughout their entire treatment journey. Visitors and guests of honor were able to see for themselves the successful implementation at the ceremonial opening of the PVE Wien West.
Under the medical supervision of Dr. Peter Haubenberger and Dr. Livia Haubenberger work alongside other general practitioners as well as specialists in dietetics, psychotherapy and social work in the 15th district of Vienna, directly at the Westbahnhof.
“We see ourselves as a central point of contact for healthcare. “PVE Vienna West therefore offers a wide range of services, ranging from routine examinations and prevention to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases,” emphasizes Dr. Peter Haubenberger. “Our team has qualified specialists who have a wide range of medical knowledge and skills and cover everything that a family doctor can offer,” adds Dr. Livia Haubenberger.
For Mario Ferrari, regional office committee chairman of the Austrian Health Insurance Fund in Vienna, primary care units are a successful concept in health care. “The entire team at PVE Vienna West attaches great importance to promoting prevention and health promotion. PVE Vienna West not only treats illnesses, but also offers advice and information to improve general health and well-being. She supports her patients in leading a healthy lifestyle and carrying out regular check-ups.”
“When people are sick, they need an appointment with a doctor quickly in order to receive the best possible treatment. This is the central task of primary care units and the expansion is really happening in Vienna! This offers benefits for everyone: patients have a high-quality, multidisciplinary healthcare facility that is open 65 hours a week, including off-peak times. This relieves the burden on our hospitals because patients do not come to the outpatient clinics unnecessarily. This also enables all employees to have a modern, regulated and cooperative working environment in a team. That’s exactly why we as a city are supporting this facility with 155,000 euros. If we maintain this pace, I am convinced that we will reach a total stock of 36 PVE in Vienna alone by 2025,” says City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker.
“The interaction between PVE, community and group practices as well as individual practices is the key to high-quality primary care and family medical health care in Vienna. The PVE Vienna West is an important building block for ensuring comprehensive and diverse general medical care in our city and primarily benefits the residents of the 15th district. We wish Dr. Livia Haubenberger and Dr. Peter Haubenberger and her team a successful start and we would like to thank everyone involved for the good cooperation,” emphasize Dr. Johannes Steinhart and Dr. Naghme Kamaleyan-Schmied, President and Vice President of the Medical Association for Vienna.
The PVE West Vienna, the family doctor center directly at the Westbahnhof, offers comprehensive health care at a low threshold and close to home with significantly longer consultation times. These are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. An appointment is not necessary.
