Indonesian women’s SINGLES Putri Kusuma Wardani advanced to the last 16 of the 2024 Korea Masters tournament on Wednesday (6/11). Playing at Iksan Gymnasium, Putri managed to beat Taiwan’s representative Huang Yu-Hsun with a score of 21-4, 21-9.
“I quite enjoyed this first match. Not as expected either because I thought it would be busy (fierce) from the video I watched. “The opponent is a tenacious player and his shots are quite good,” said Putri in a short statement from PP PBSI, Wednesday (6/11).
According to the third seed, one of the main keys to victory is game control and precise shots. Putri said the key in the match was game control and precise shots. He also admitted that he was quite hampered by the weather conditions in South Korea.
“The shuttlecock here is slow, so whoever can hold the front game and control the shot will be the winner. That’s what I felt earlier,” he said.
