SOLOIST and singer-songwriter Putri Ariani officially released her single Senyuman Tutupi Semua Lelah, today, Friday (20/9). The single Senyuman Tutupi Semua Lelah is the first single for Putri’s album, entitled Evolve.
For Putri, this single is considered an opener through a smile, because she wants to share love with others. Putri carries out these humanist values in real terms through her collaboration with the Cinta Quran Foundation.
“God willing, Putri will donate some of the income from streaming this song for humanitarian purposes,” explained Putri, “Pray, bismillah, may everything go smoothly.”
Putri’s background as a Muslim led her to write the lyrics for Senyumannya.
He admitted that this song was inspired by the holy verse of the Qur’an, Surah Az-Zumar verse ten (10) which reads, “Say (Muhammad), ‘O my servants who believe! Fear your Lord.’ For those who do good in this world will get good.”
It is not the first time for Putri to write a song inspired by the holy book of the Qur’an.

Previously, Putri also released “Keep Your Good Steps” in February this year, which she admitted was inspired by the Koran, Al-Insyirah, verses five (5) and six (6).
Smiles Cover All Tiredness was written by Putri, including the recording process. Not only this single, all the songs that will be released through the Evolve album will also be worked on by Putri.
Regarding the process, Putri explained that she directly became the producer for her album.

“Putri learned to be her own producer with Putri’s internal team,” he said.
For Putri, the recording process for Smiles Cover All Tiredness also had its challenges.
“The notation of this song is simpler, the singing should also be deeper, don’t overdo it,” said Putri.

However, Putri concluded that the recording of this single was generally very smooth.
In terms of writing lyrics, this time Putri uses a third person perspective (she). This is what distinguishes Senyumannya Tutupi Semua Lelah from her other songs.
“Usually Putri uses the first person point of view (I), or the second person point of view (you),” said Putri.
Putri dedicates her Smile Covers All Tiredness to those who are great, who always smile in their struggles, smile in their tiredness.
Putri described, “It touches me so much, because we know, sometimes life is not easy. Days are not always beautiful, but these great people, all of us, who can always smile in any condition, believe that there is always goodness in every step, happiness will come.”
Through this song, which Putri conceptualized as pop, somewhat indie, and soulful, she hopes that anyone who listens to this song can enjoy it and sing it again with a smile.
The strong humanist values of this song are carried out in real terms by Putri through her collaboration with the Cinta Quran Foundation in the music video Senyumannya Tutupi Semua Lelah (Smile Covers All Lelah).
This collaboration is carried out for the Syiar Quran Project campaign which Putri explained as a communal program from the upstream-downstream series of the Cinta Quran Foundation program in order to play an active role in providing benefits for Indonesia, both in terms of preaching, education, health and humanity.
The Syiar Quran Project program includes several points, including; Quran reading training in the interior, for converts and prisoners, food alms for those in need, distribution of 100% zakat funds without deductions, to operational assistance for child patients at the Al-Fatih Bandung Shelter, and students of the Bogor Quran Generation School.

The music video for Senyumannya Tutupi Semua Lelah (Smile Covers All Tiredness) was directed by Angger Pamungkas. With a concept that is very much related to the campaign with the Cinta Quran Foundation, this video tells the story of a volunteer who is active in various humanitarian activities because he was inspired by his father and wants to continue his struggle.
In her duties, she sometimes feels anxious thinking about her father’s sick condition, but the smiles of the beneficiaries are able to strengthen her heart. Likewise, her smile is always a comfort and encouragement for the beneficiaries.
Putri explained, “The actors in this video clip have the same background as their personal lives, both the main characters who are indeed fond of being involved in humanitarian programs, as well as the beneficiaries in the video who use real talent and the donations given in the scene are also given for real.” She also added, “The process of making this video is very minimal gimmick.” (Z-1)
