Russian President Vladimir Putin is causing a stir by publicly mentioning the possibility of nuclear war toward the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and NATO.

President Putin warned that the United States or European NATO members would have to risk nuclear war if they were to send troops to Ukraine.
He said he remembers the fate of those who sent troops to Russia, like Hitler and Napoleon, and emphasized that this time they will meet a more miserable end.
